Meet our tutor: Leonie

Hi! My name is Leonie and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Arts at Monash University. Whether you’re looking to build a stronger foundation to extend your knowledge or want to polish your skills as a high achiever, I’ll be here to help!

Having recently completed VCE, I understand many of the challenges that VCE students may come across, which is why I’ll be here to assist you. I have a passion for teaching and have been part of my high school’s peer mentoring program, as well as a current Acess Monash mentor for high school students in regional Victoria. I will help you build a strong foundation in your VCE subjects, as it is essential to attain the study scores that you’re aiming for. In each lesson, I will provide exam-style questions which will extend your thinking and assist taking on non-routine questions. Another important aspect of VCE exams is to not only be accurate, but fast, and I will be sure to help you learn some helpful tips and tricks to make sure you complete the exam with full confidence!!

In terms of my academic experience with the subjects I teach, I received a study score of 47 in Chemistry and 45 in Physics in 2022, putting me within the top 2% of the state. I also received a score of 44 in Mathematical Methods in 2021. Other awards I have received include the JMSS Mathematical Methods subject award in 2021, as well as a Distinction in the Australian Mathematics competition in 2022. I am a current recipient of Monash University’s Women in Engineering scholarship.
